Welcome October

Dear Readers:

I have just realized it is the first of October and I didn´t have my calendar post ready.
Lately, my "Sylvanian fever" has cooled down a bit.I still love Sylvanians, of course, but I´m lacking the motivation I used to have to write stories, setting up scenes and taking pictures.
October is here and, as I promised at the beginning of the year ,it is time to post the SF Calendar picture for this month.

Isn´t Halloween supposed to be scary and  spooky?
This picture is just adorable and cute, don´t you think so?

This time of the year is still very busy at school. Instead of taking pictures of my sylvanians going "trick or treating", I´m planning Halloween activities for my pupils.

Hopefully, when I have more free time I will go back to my sylvanian world. Right now,my family and my job are first (and both are very demanding at the moment).

Some time ago,I promised I was going to post some pictures of the Buckleys´ home. I like to  keep my promises so I´ll try to have the post ready soon.

Hope you have a wonderful October and if you celebrate Halloween,I hope you enjoy it too!

A big hug!

  1. Wow Cutata,

There are so many jack-o'-lanterns in this scene. :D

I do have to say, I have never before seen such an adorable kind of pizza as those two with the ghost-shaped mozarella slices on them. :) Yeah, the Halloween depicted in this month's calendar photo isn't spooky at all... But does it really matter, when there is so much Sylvanian cuteness squished into a single room? ;P

Have a good time planning activities for your pupils and spending time with your family.

Jemima and Fudge and the gang say hello. We are all curious to see pictures of the Buckleys' home, or whatever project or scene you might feel like sharing next.

    Bye for now,
    Nina

    1. Hi Nina! It seeems the kids are having a Halloween party and the food looks yummy! I would love a bite of one of those pizzas.

Do Jemima and her friends go trick or treating on Halloween. I´m sure Fudge will love it! Sweets and treats galore :D

      A big hug!

    2. Hello Cutata,

OF COURSE Jemima and Fudge and their friends went trick-or-treating!! :D How could they not? And especially Quackie went from one house to the next, practically dragging Jemima behind her.

I believe Quackie was carrying the largest bag of all, but Fudge's wasn't small either... ;)

  2. Hi Cutata!

What a cute picture! You're right, not scary at all! The pizzas look yummy!

I think it's quite normal to lose interest in hobbies from time to time. Don't worry about it, do what you have to do and I'm sure the drive to do Sylvanian-related things will come back in due time. :) We'll miss you and your lovely pictures, though! Looking forward to seeing the Buckley's home!

    Take care!

    1. Hi Jessica!
Sylvanians are so cute that I don´t think there´s a way to make them look scary.
I hope to be back in the Sylvanian mood soon.
I was choosing some pictures of the Buckley´s home and I have so many that I will write two posts. Even if I don´t take pictures for a while I will keep blogging from time to time.

      A big hug, my friend!

    1. Hi Sohie! You´re right. My Sylvanians will always be there waiting for me. I really hope to have some time for them soon. Then , I guess I will feel more motivated to "play" with them again.

      A big hug!

  4. Aieeeee!! I love the picture! Gotta say, I’m more of a kawaii halloween lover, as a pose to the really creepy hardcore stuff... I can’t watch horror, it stays in my head for a long time so I try to avoid it. Its a shame you’ve lost the drive to keep with the sylvanians, but their always there for when you just ‘ give up’ with life. I hope that you feel better soon- school has been a but upsy downsy for me, i expect its the same for you? But just remeber we’re all in this together, and things always sort themselves out! Hugs :)

  5. Hi Isla!

I feel the same as you! When I was four years old I watched a scary scene on TV. It was just a trailer of a movie I guess, but that same night I had a terrible nightmare. Since then I had to sleep with a light on for years, even when I was a teenager. It was so real that I still remember that nightmare. So, I also try to avoid horror films because as you said they stay in my head for a long time.

My lack of interest in sylvanians is mainly due to a lack of time. School is draining my energy and then when I get home my three children need plenty of attention. I´m also attending some conferences about autism and I have to do some reading about teaching methodologies and education-related stuff.

It takes a while to settled down in school again so I´m sure in a few months we´ll see things in a different way. I wish you lots of good luck for this school year, my friend!

    A big hug!

    1. Awwww i feel your pain, Cutata! I get shivers when i see moving/ talking toys... i just can’t deal with them. I send knowing thoughts and hugs your way!
School is pretty stressful, because as its the start of the year, we are getting homework piled on top of us like theres no tomorrow, so my sylvanians are suffering a bit too. It normally slows down once we get further into the year though, so, I’mlooking forward to that!! Keep calm and take time for yourself, indulge in the simple pleasures!! Lots of hugs xx

  6. Hi Cutata! First of all, I want to give you a big hug, your life sounds very stressful and demanding at the moment! Don't feel obligated to post if you just aren't motivated or have time, blogging and SF are supposed to fun but if you just aren't feeling it, you don't have to post. That is what I usually do as if I am not motivated to write on my blog, my posts usually turn out not as well as I like so I'd rather not post rather than post something I am not happy with.
The calendar photo is very cute! I love the pizzas, they look scrumptious and will make a wonderful Halloween meal! My family has never celebrated Halloween so I don't think that I will post anything Halloween like but it is a very adorable Sylvanian holiday!
I am very excited to see the Buckley's home, I know that it is just going to look wonderful.
    Hugs, Emily
