A Christmas parcel from Nina !!

Dear Readers!

A few weeks ago I got a Christmas parcel from Nina who owns the wonderful blog "At the Periwinkles".

As soon as I opened the parcel, Tanya and Munchie left their cottage to help me unbox it.
There were so many sweets and nicely wrapped gifts!
"The sweets are for me me!" Munchie was quick to claim.

The first gift Tanya unwrapped was this cute bar of soap. I wish you could smell it! It smells like Christmas!

Tanya and Munchie oohed and aahed when they unwrapped the next gift.

Isn´t it cute this miniature baking scene? I love it!

What will it be in this small blue box?

Three smiling pumpkins! They look so funny!

Look at this mini advent calendar. The windows are tiny and the pictures behind them are adorable. It´s SO cute!

Tanya is reading Nina´s card and Munchie is admiring Nina´s drawing skills.
She´s really good at arts and crafts, don´t you think so?

Thank you Nina for brightening up my day with your lovely parcel and for your kindness and friendship.

You
helped me spark my interest in miniatures and Sylvanians again!

This beautiful candle wreath is a handmade gift from one of my first graders´ grandma. It smells like a walk in the woods.

Hugs!

Tanya and Munchie are getting ready for Christmas

Dear Readers:

At around this time two years ago I received a wonderful giveaway by Nina.
Tanya and a little elf named Munchie were part of the precious gifts Nina included in her parcel.

Two years later after their arrival , Tanya and Munchie are happily settled in Sweet Berry Valley. They enjoy  strolling around the village selling sweets from the Chocolate´s sweet cart.
Tanya´s cookies are very popular among the villagers and she loves baking and selling them at the sweet shop that The Chocolates own.She was very lucky they offered her to work with them.

This time of the year is especially busy at the cake shop but Teri and Frasier gave Tanya a day off to go Christmas shopping and get her little cottage ready for Christmas.

"I can´t believe it´s December alreday", Tanya thought when she looked at the last page of the calendar that was hanging on the wall.

It seems like it was only yesterday when she moved into her new home and hung  the "Home Sweet Home" picture her friend Teri gave her as a gift.

December means Christmas and it´s Tanya´s and Munchie´s favourite month of the year. We should keep in mind both worked  at Santa Claus´ bakery in Findland and the holiday season always brings back happy memories of the time they spent there.
"Munchie, would you give me a hand decorating the Christmas tree?" Tanya asked her housemate, who gladly accepted.

Tanya brought down the Christmas decorations from the attic and both enjoyed trimming the  tree.

Tanya was looking forward to displaying the  ornament her friends from Riverside sent her last Christmas. "Lovely !" She said when she placed it on the tea table.

Tanya wanted the kitchen to look christmassy too so she placed a holly tablecloth on the table to give it a more festive look.

Then, she put all the ingredients and kitchen utensils she needed to make some cookies on the table. Today she didn´t have to bake for the cake shop. Instead she was going to  make some cookies to give to her friends and siblings.

The first batch of chocolate and ginger cookies is ready to go into the oven.

Once the cookies were out of the oven, Tanya decorated them and gave one to Munchie. He is an expert cookie taster so his opinion means a lot to Tanya.
"Well, what do you think, Munchie?" Tanya asked waiting for Munchie´s approval.
"Can I have one more, please?" He said with his mouth full. Tanya knew that was a good sign.

Tanya also made some of her popular cinnamon cookies. There was a lovely smell all around the cottage. The smell of chocolate, ginger and cinnamon filled the kitchen. Actually, the whole cottage smelled like Christmas.

She even made a chocolate log following Frasier´s recipe.

Once all the baking was done, Tanya filled some boxes with cookies.

A sweet little Christmas gift to treat some of her friends and love ones.

After all the Christmas preparations Tanya and Munchie sat down to have a cup of hot chocolate and some of Tanya´s just-baked cookies.
There was a warm christmassy atmosphere in their little cottage.
Their favourite time of the year was around the corner and Tanya and Munchie were all set and ready to celebrate a wonderful Christmas.

Hope you and your loved ones have a joy- filled wonderful Christmas and New Year!

Welcome December

Dear Readers,

This month I´m a bit late posting the SF calendar picture of December.

I don´t know if you have the same feeling but 2018 has gone by so quickly!

Christmas is around the corner and the last picture of the calendar is perfect to make us feel the Christmas atmosphere of the Sylvanian Town and to get into the festive spirit of this holiday season.

Let´s get some close up pictures of this lovely scene.

The Grand Department Store is very busy at this time of the year. As you can see, some of our Sylvanians have already gone shopping for Christmas presents.

It must be a cold evening. It has even snowed but Stella, Laura and Lulu know how to keep warm and elegant at the same time wearing those lovely coats.
They´re probably going to a restaurant to enjoy a nice meal after work.

I also wonder where Lionel is going. He´s waiting for the tram holding a bunch of roses. Will he have a date?

There  must be a nice view from the balcony of the Grand Department Store.
The twinkling lights, the garlands, the Christmas tree…

Just one more photo . The calendar has two pictures for December, this one was for 2017 just before starting the new year. I received the calendar in January so I didn´t have the chance to show it to you before.
So many lights!

The year is coming to an end and that was the last picture of the 2018 SF calendar.
Hope you have enjoyed these monthly post.

As you have just seen Sylvanians are looking forward to Christmas. They have it all set.

Are you looking forward to Christmas too?

Hope you have a wonderful month of December!

Sending you warm hugs!

The Buckleys´ home (Part 1)

Dear Readers,

The Buckley Red Reindeer family was one of the first families I added to my collection and therefore one of my favourites.
Last summer (2017) I decorated Beechwood Hall for them.

Today, they are going to show us their home.
Hope you enjoy the tour around their house.
You´re all welcome!

The first room you find as you enter is the kitchen.

The living room is also on the bottom floor.

The bathroom is also downstairs. They built an extension in order to have a big bathroom.

The bedrooms are on the top floor.

This is the parents´ bedroom. It´s a bit small but it has access to a big balcony.

Maria and Oscar share the same bedroom.

Freddie´s bedroom is tiny but he´s happy to have a bedroom of his own.

Full view of the children´s bedrooms.

This is a full view of the Buckleys´ home.

I´ll write a much longer follow-up post to show you some other pictures of the Buckleys at home.

I find this family adorable!

Beechwood Hall is also a lovely building but I wish it was a bit bigger. There was no place for a bathroom, that´s why I had to attach the extension.

Hope you enjoyed today´s post.

Thanks for reading, my Friends!

A big hug!
