Welcome September

Dear Readers,

I must confess September is not my favourite month at all.
Holidays are over and it is time to get back to work and get used to the daily routine again. It is usually a very busy month at work.I´m a teacher so I also have that "September back to school feeling".

However, September seems to bring good news for our Sylvanian town girls as we can see looking at this picture of the SF calendar for this month.

Judging by Laura´s and Lulu´s reaction, the letter Stella is reading must say something good.I wonder what…

Focusing on the picture, I always like to spot all the little details and accessories.
Aren´t those ceramic tea cups lovely?

I ordered two miniature ceramic tea sets  some time ago and I received them yesterday so I´ll show them to you.

I also bought this set. This one is made out of plastic. The little book was a gift a friend gave me long time ago.

The teapot printed fabric is not a tea towel, even though it looks like it. It is a t-shirt  I bought recently. My husband thought it was a pyjama top but I like it anyway...

Hope September also brings good news and happy moments to all of you.

I´ll drink plenty of relaxing herbal tea to help me cope with the stress of starting a new school year.

A big hug!

  1. Good luck going back to school, Cutata! I'm sure your pupils can't wait to get to know you. I also love all of these tea themed pieces- which is your favourite type of tea? It's got to be traditional English breakfast tea for me!

    1. Hi Fox,
Thank you very much for your comment!School is keeping me very busy but it´s nice to have a break to go back to my "Sylvanian Paradise" for a while. I´m drinking a lovely relaxing herbal tea at the moment. A blend of different herbs :oat flowering tops, licorice root, chamomile flower, lavander flower, limeflower and valerian root. The herbal tea box says "Peace in a teacup". Lovely at the end of the day.
Hope you have a wonderful week!
      A big hug

  2. Ah school is never very popular especially at this time of year, is it? I’ve often wondered what its like being a teacher going back to school- even though they have work and planning, they must enjoy the break too!! I love the tea themed post-always makes me think of alice in wonderland. I love love love tea!! Its so comforting at any time just to clutch a warm cup in your hands. I really like vanilla chai tea or chocolate chai or redbush... I like most teas!! Ginger is good for warming and colds, but for relaxing... maybe peppermint or something. Whichever you have, i hope we all have a fairly simple transistion to school- teachers and pupils!!

    1. Hi Isla!
Thank you for leaving a comment!Going back to school is also stressful for teachers. There´s lots to do at this time of the year. I survived the first two week of school and things are going fine.I don´t have time for my sylvanians but hopefully I will have more free time by the end of October when we finish all the planning and we are settled into the routine.
Hope you have a great year school year!
      Hugs!

  3. Hi Cutata!

The picture for this month is lovely! I've been enjoying these monthly posts. :)

Lovely crockery, both the Sylvanian and the real-life ones! :)
Where did you get the miniature sets? Aliexpress maybe? They're beautiful!
I like your new t-shirt as well, it's very cute!
For years I got anxious with the "back to school" feeling, even many years after finishing my studies! :D

Best of luck with the start of the new school year!

    1. Hi Flora!
      Thank you for your comment!
I´m looking forward to taking some pictures of my sylvanians enjoying a nice cup of tea but I´m busy at the moment. I have another tea set. Lsummer I took some pictures of it when I decorated the house for the Buckley´s. I´ll try to write a post about their house and you´ll see it there.
      Have a wonderful week!

      Hugs!

  5. Dear Cutata,

The SF calendar picture for this month is GORGEOUS - so romantic!
I agree with you, the ceramic cups in the photo are very beautiful, but so are the tea sets you have ordered in the mail. Wow! Like Flora, I am looking forward to seeing them featured in one of your future blogposts.

The teapot print on your t-shirt is very pretty, as is the last photo of your own cup of relaxing herbal tea... I enjoy it when you make themed posts like this one. =:O)

Hope you are having a pleasant time with your pupils. And however busy you might get this month - remember that Sylvanians always manage to find a moment to relax and to appreciate a calming cup of tea, and so can you. (The Periwinkles say that since you own such beautiful cups and saucers you definitely should!) =:O)

    Have a great weekend,
    Nina

    1. Hi Nina!
Thank you for your comment! September and October are always busy months for me but I´m getting used to the routine of school days. I miss spending time with my sylvanians, though. My pupils are getting all my attention at the moment but it´s nice to have a break and as you say "appreciate a calming cup of tea" while I read my blog friends´ comments.

      Have a wonderful week!

      A big hug!

  6. Hi Cutata!
Your mini ceramic tea sets are gorgeous, I know that your sylvanians will love to have tea parties with them. (I can also imagine the sylvanian mothers hovering around the table, ready to catch any saucers or tea cups that may get accidentally knocked onto the floor)
Good luck with the start of the school year, I only have three weeks to go before the holidays (only two weeks but still). I hope that your students behave themselves , what year level and subject do you teach?
    Hugs, Emily

    1. Hi Emily!
Thanks for your comment! You must be about to finish school now. Hope you enjoy your well deseved holiday break!
I teach two groups of first graders.I teach English, Natural and Social Science, Arts and Crafts and another subject that I don´t know how to translate into English. The literal translation would be "Values" but I don´t know if there is a subject with this name in English.

Enjoy your holidays!Relax and have fun!

      A big hug!
