Dear Readers,
Hope you´re all doing great!
******************************************************************
Grizabella Macavity grew up in her family’s pizzeria in Sweet Berry Valley, surrounded by the smell of melting cheese and tomato sauce.
She
loved her family and helped out in the business as much as she could, but she
always knew the quiet village life wasn't for her.
One afternoon , while she was rolling the pizza dough next to her father, Grizabella took a deep breath and decided to speak up.
Alonso
stopped to look at her. "Moving into Town, right? Journalism."
"Yes,"
she replied. "I’d like to apply for a place at the university. I´d love to
run my own magazine one day."
"I knew this day would come," Alonso said. "Listen to me: we´ll miss you a lot, but this valley is too small for your dreams, so go for it!"
After that conversation and her
mother’s approval, it was time to pack her suitcase and move to the city to start
her degree.
With her luggage finally packed and ready by the bed, Grizabella took a moment to relax and flip through some of her favorite magazines. She pictured herself becoming the editor-in-chief of a glamorous lifestyle magazine.Sitting there on her bed, looking at the glossy covers, she knew she was finally on her way to making that dream a reality.
In her first term at college, she got on very well with Felicia,a photography student, who quickly became her best friend.
One afternoon, after classes were over, Felicia introduced Grizabella to a couple of her friends, Finn and Victor.
Finn Persian was in his final year of college and already owned the antique shop in Town.
Victor Sandy was an Accounting and Marketing student. To save up some money, he also worked as a barista in a coffee shop. He was hardworking and had big plans to start his own business one day.
From
that very first meeting, it was obvious that Grizabella and Victor really liked
each other.
In early February, having finally finished her exams, Grizabella and Felicia agreed they deserved a girls´s day out. After dressing up for the occasion, they headed to the city centre to spend a few hours browsing through her favourite shops and admiring the new window displays. The city was already beginning to gear up for Valentine´s Day.
Even though it was a bit chilly, it was a sunny day so they grabbed a table on the outside terrace.
Victor
spotted them from inside and walked out to the terrace. He looked happy to see
them, though he seemed a little nervous the moment his eyes met Grizabella’s.
"Hi, girls! It’s so nice to see you here," Victor said with a warm smile. "What can I get for you today?"
"A
cappuccino with thick cream for me, please," Felicia said, looking
at the menu.
Grizabella
looked up at him and smiled. "And I’ll have a macchiato, please."
"Any sweet treats to go with those? Today
we have a pistachio cheesecake that is absolutely delicious."
The girls shared a quick look and nodded. "Okay, we’ll have one piece to share," they decided.
"Perfect,"
Victor said, looking at Grizabella for a second longer before he turned back to
the coffee shop. "I’ll be right back with everything."
After
a few minutes, Victor came out with their drinks. When he placed Grizabella´s small cup in front of her, she noticed a white heart floating perfectly in the centre of the dark coffee. Tucked into the handle of the cup was a
small, folded piece of paper.
Grizabella
opened it and felt her face get warm. It said: "Will you be my Valentine?"
She looked up at Victor, who was standing there nervously, waiting for her reaction. She couldn’t stop smiling. There was no need for words.
Victor felt a huge wave of relief. He gave her a big grin, feeling an overwhelming urge to give her a hug to share his happiness. They both knew right then that their life in the city was about to get a lot more exciting.

Cutata, I am happy 😊 to see your post. Beautiful photos and lovely story.
ResponderEliminarHi Lisa,
ResponderEliminarI´m also very happy to know you liked it.
Thanks a lot for your comment!
Have a wonderful day!
I just read your latest story... how moving to witness the birth of a new lovestory between Victor and sweet Grizabella - may they be happy together forever! Beautiful pictures - and a nice try on AI. I'm looking forward to interior pictures from the café. Cordially yours, Florence Holiday
ResponderEliminarP.S.: Was surprised to see William Cinnamon meeting another bunny.... what does Stella say about it?
Hi Florece!
EliminarThanks a lot for your kind words!
I’m planning to feature Victor and Grizabella in my upcoming stories. The coffee shop set is almost ready, so hopefully, I’ll be able to post a new story soon!
As for William and Catherine Periwinkle, it’s really just a friendly chat between them. If you noticed the bag with the heart on it, that was actually a Valentine’s Day gift for Stella. Their relationship is going great!
Have a lovely day!
Hi Cutata, happy belated Valentine's Day. Like you, the holiday feels very commercialised to me as well, but I always love seeing how your Sylvanians celebrate it. This story was no exception.
ResponderEliminarI loved everything about it! What a kind way for Alonso to react to his daughter's dreams! It's wonderful that her family was so supportive and that she quickly found friends in the city, too (although it must have been hard for her to leave him, and that bedroom too - it's gorgeous!). I was smitten with Victor as well - I've never heard of the Handsome Brothers Set, but he's living up to the name. He looks very smart in his satin waistcoat. Of course, Grizabella's outfit was beautiful too and a perfect fit for Valentine's Day.
I was also admiring the Macavity's pizzeria in Sweet Berry Valley. The Mozarellas were very impressed - it looks fantastic, and what a wide range of ingredients, too!
I look forward to reading more about Grizabella and Victor!
Hi Kelsie,
ResponderEliminarI’m so glad you enjoyed this Valentine’s story! Thanks a lot for your lovely comment!
Grizabella’s parents took her decision really well, though they naturally miss her a lot, especially since she was such a big help at the pizzeria. Grizabella misses her family too, but luckily, she’s already started making friends in the Big City and, now she even has a boyfriend who is really nice and caring.
She’s living in a very small place in the City and definitely misses her old bedroom back in Sweet Berry Valley.
I’m planning to feature both Grizabella and Victor in future posts.
Take care! A hug!
