Welcome November

Dear Readers:

Novemeber is here. That means it is time to post the  monthly SF calendar picture. It is also a good opportunity to say hello to all my readers and to apologize for my absence but you know life can get very busy at times.

This month the SF calendar picture shows a lovely autumn scene at the market. It seems some of our Sylvanians had a good harvest and they are selling their fresh produce.I love the atmosphere at this kind of markets.

Next month will be the last calendar post of the year. Time flies! I can´t believe it´s nearly Christmas!

Some of you have probably noticed,I haven´t been very active lately, regarding Sylvanians. I´m still lacking a bit of motivation but to be honest with you I miss them.
I have the intention to join the new forum one of these days. I´m sure that´ll help.
I´m sorry for not keeping my promise of posting some pictures of The Buckleys´ home, but I will. I haven´t forgotten.

Hope you are all doing well, my Friends.

See you soon!

A big hug!

  1. Lovely one ! Your pictures always give me motivation.
BTW if you have suggestions for forums I'd be really interested to know. The french one I was on went down a long time ago, and I don't really know which one I should choose ... Thanks for any suggestion !

  3. Dear Cutata,

First of all thank you for commenting on my two recent blog posts. You mustn't apologize for being away - real life can get so busy and sometimes it's just more important.

What a lovely autumn scene in this month's calendar photo! It looks like a place I would love to go to, to buy my own fresh fruit and vegetables. :D

Yes, it's crazy how close we are already to Christmas! The children of Riverside have already begun writing letters to Santa...

I hope you are doing well. Have a wonderful november.

    Best wishes,
    Nina

    1. Hi Nina!
Real life doesn´t give me a break and I´m starting to feel a bit down. "My sylvania world" has always helped me to unwid and to cope with the stress of real life. I was looking forward to the end of the day to sit down in front of the computer to read other collector´s blog ,the sylvanian forumm and write my own stories or work on my projects but now I have no energy. I used to be up until late at night but not anymore. For some reason, I have no energy and I have to go to bed early. Hope this situation improves at some stage.

Have a nice week and send my regards to Riverside!

  4. Hello! 2018 seems to have gone SO quickly... but I can’t wait to get my Christmas sylvanian set out again this year and decorate their homes:) the market scene is very cosy and I love the atmosphere at markets- also very communal and welcoming, which is the epitome of sylvanian life!! I hope life lets you escape into their world again soon- until then, I will enjoy the market scene^^

    1. Hi Isla!
Have you ever thought of starting your own blog?
It would be great to see your pictures.
I haven´t got any sylvanian projects in mind for Christmas. Still trying to manage to find some free time and some inspiration.

      Have a wonderful week!

  5. Hi cutata! have considered it but because of school I am very busy, and I would also like to wait to be a bit older to share things online. But that doesnt mean I’ll never do it so maybe one day! Until then I’ll enjoy yours :)

  6. I only just discovered your blog this week and I had to write to say how much I like it.

As someone involved in creative writing, I enjoy your stories and the wonderful photographs that illustrate the tales. You seem to have really taken on board the feel-good factor that Sylvanian Families appear to promote. Family, friendship, a simple life and a sense of community that is heartwarming.

I am an atypical fan of Sylvanian Families, being male and in my 50s. I started collecting earlier this year, buying on eBay for the first time. The first items I bought were nautical in nature (canal boat, pleasure boat, Seabreeze rabbits, Captain Seadog and his motley crew) and some musical instruments. This was to help promote a shanty singing group to which I belong. However, I didn't stop there, having been tempted by the Dappledawn bunnies. With 190 figures densely crowded in a display cabinet I am trying to be strong-willed to not buy any more. Trying!

I can't really explain it, but I find them calming, somehow. Your blog extends this. Thank you!
