The Caramels´Arts and Crafts Store

Dear Readers,

I know some of you were looking forward to seeing the new shop in Sweet Berry Valley.
The Arts and Crafts store is already finished and their proud owners, the Caramel dog family, are happy to show you all the art supplies they stock.

Just before entering the shop you´ll see
a big chalkboard sign. Vivian and Lance think it can be a good way to attract customers´ attention.

As you enter the shop, you´ll find a wide variety of easels.

You can also buy canvases and art portfolios to store your drawings.

The shelves are well stocked with lots of art supplies: coloured pencils, different types of paint, watercolours, pencils, coloured paper for crafts and also fancy wrapping paper rolls.

The big window sill comes very handy to display a wide variety of art supplies such as sketch books, paintbrushes, soft pastels, oil painting sets and different pencil cases.

They also offer a selection of art books.

Instead of putting a shop counter Vivian and Lance opted for two tables that can be easily set aside and don´t take much space.

Here you can see a detail of the bunting and the decorative palette sign .

Full view of the shop front.

I hope you enjoyed this shop tour!

I intented to post this entry earlier but I got infected by coronavirus and I haven´t been able to do until now.

Luckily,I feel totally recovered.

I´m glad my energy and motivation are back. Today, I felt like doing something sylvanian- related so I chose some pictures of the art and craft´s store to show you.

I´ll probably write another post to show you in more detail the miniatures I made.

Take care!

You have put so much detail into making this shop and it makes it feel so real! It has such a colourful, bright happy theme! I especially love the chalkboard sign out the front of the shop! How did you do it with that beautiful writing?
I would love to go to the Caramel's shop to stock up on art supplies! I'm sure they will make the creative villagers very happy!
I'm glad you are feeling well now! Stay safe! :)

    1. Hi Kelsie,

Thank you so much for your kind words!

I think the opening of the Caramel´s art shop will boost creativity in the village.

When I was writing this post I thought of Briar. If she ever visits Sweet Berry Valley, Lance and Vivian will be very happy to meet her. They admire her artwork and they´ll be delighted to show her their shop.

I wrote the words on the chalkboard sign on a pice of rainbow scratch paper. I used a toothpick to write on it. This is the kind of paper I´m talking about: https://es.aliexpress.com/item/32845810345.html

Hope you have a wonderful week! Hugs!

  2. Cutata, this is beautiful! I really love your Caramels' shop. It is just perfect - so many gorgeous details, and wonderful items to buy! You have done an amazing job of making use of the space, too - there is so much to see here! I can imagine the Caramels running a craft workshop for children on those two little tables.

    1. Hi GreyRabbit!

Thanks a lot for your lovely comment!

You read the Caramels´ mind! They´re already toying with the idea of running craft workshops for kids and even birthday parties!
Right now, their main priority is to build a good relationship with their new customers and promote a helpful and friendly environment to ensure they leave the shop with a good impression.

Have a lovely week! Stay safe!

  4. Hi Sylvanako,

Thanks for your kind words, my friend!
I´m also happy to feel like myself again! The fact that I feel like going back to my sylvanians is a good sign.
I´m glad you like the miniatures I made. Actually, I diidn´t intend to make so many but the idea of setting up an art shop started to grow on me and finally I managed to stock all the shelves.

    Have a great week!
    Take care and stay safe!

  5. Hi Cutata!

First of all, I'm really happy to read that you're feeling better and have recovered already.

You already know that I absolutely love everything in this shop. I love human-size stationery already, and I adore your Sylvanian version of all these supplies!
I'm absolutely amazed at your talent and creativity! You truly thought of everything.
The Caramel can be incredibly proud of their lovely shop, I'm sure it will be a huge success in Sweet Berry Valley. My Frances Robinson would be delighted to be there, admiring all the beautiful pencils and lovely craft supplies! I adore the Alpino pencil box, haha, and those tiny tempera paint bottles forming a pyramid! It must have taken ages to get them to stand, hehe.
Love the books, the folders, the bunting, everything really!
Your pictures always cheer me up. I'm glad you managed to find the time to post them. :)

Looking forward to your next post, as always!
    Have a wonderful week.

  6. Hi Ayrell,

Thanks a lot for your kind words! I´m happy to know my pictures helped you cheer up a bit!

You guesses right about the tiny tempera paint bottles. It was a bit of nightmare trying to get them stand. They kept falling all the time! I had to glue them!

I´m sure your Frances Robinson would love to buy some art supplies at the Caramels´store. I thought of her when I was setting up the shop. She should try to convince her parents to visit Sweet Berry Valley at some stage.I´m sure they would enjoy it there.

Have a great week! A big hug!

  7. Hi Cutata,
Your art shop is beautiful! There is such a wide range of products to choose from, its all so detailed. Pablo Yapley from Starlight Cape would like to enquire if they do deliveries to other areas of Sylvania. He is particularly interested in the large canvases.
    Have a great week!

  8. Hi Caitlyn,
Thanks a lot for your kind words!
There should be more arts and crafts shops in Sylvania. There are lots of bakeries, supermarkets, restaurants and cake shops but not many places to buy arts and crafts supplies.
Vivian and Lance have just started running their business in Sweet Berry Valley but they are already considering the possibility of taking orders to deliver to other parts of Sylvania. If Pablo ever visits Sweet Berry Valley he will have a very special discount on his purchase.

    Take care! Hugs!

  9. Wow. You've been busy! This wonderful art supplies shop is full of detail and colour and in many respects it reminds me of part of my home. In later life my father was an artist and calligrapher, detailed watercolours being his main medium. He also taught evening classes, and did demonstrations for some art supplies companies. Consequently we accumulated a LOT of varied art supplies. I will never run out! As such, your beautiful Sylvanian shop generates some nice memories.
    Thank you, Cutata!
