For the past few months the Kennelworths have been working hard to have their new house fully furnished and decorated. They were looking forward to move into it.
Here they are posing in front of their new home. Monty and Dorothy feel so happy and proud...!
The house looks lovely on the outside.
Let´s have a look inside!
Monty and Dorothy made the most of the space of the groud floor and managed to create four areas: hall, kitchen, dining room and living room.
Here is the small hall. The flower is still as fresh as the first day. Dorothy waters it everyday.
This is the kitchen.
Here is the dining room.
This is the living room.
Full view of the ground floor. As you can see there´s no doubt that red is Dorothy´s favourite colour.
Dorothy is a wonderful cook. There´s always a lovely smell in the kitchen!
After a long working day, Monty and his brother Rufus like to relax in the living room. The sofa is so comfortable that sometimes Rufus sleeps there at night. He is single and lives on his own so he enjoys the company of his family.
The children´s room is on the first floor. These are Clara´s and Rufus´beds.
Here is where baby Mark sleeps.
The study area.
And this is where they keep all their toys.
Full view of the middle floor.
Clara is telling a story to her teddy bear.
Rufus has to study Maths, he failed his last test, but he gets distracted easily looking through the window.
Baby Mark is playing with his favourite toy.
Let´s go up the top floor. As you can see it is divided in two parts: the bedroom and the bathroom. It´s nice to have some privacy in the bathroom
This is the bathroom.
This is the wall that separates the bedroom from the bathroom.
First thing in the morning Dorothy likes to contemplate the views from the balcony and breath some fresh air.
The Kennelworths love their new home!

Congratulations to the Kennelworths on their lovely new home! You've done a great job of fitting everything into the house and I love the little details, like the family photos. Thanks for all the photos and description, this was fun to read :)
ResponderEliminarThank you Terra! The Kennelworths are delighted in their new home. They appreciate your compliment.
EliminarWell done! I love the decor, & the view from the top floor is stunning!
ResponderEliminarThanks Chill! There are lovely views from the top floor balcony and first thing in the morning Dorothy loves to have a nice cup of tea enjoying the beauty of the landscape.
EliminarSuch a cozy home, I want one in real size for me! You did a great job! I like how you managed to fit all these detailed furnished rooms! The wallpaper is lovely and I really like the middle wall on the top floor!
ResponderEliminarThanks Sylvanako! I wouldn´t mind having one in real size for me too! LOL! Well, maybe with an extra room to display my collection. That would be nice. I divided the middle floor because the idea of having the bathroom in the bedroom doesn´t appeal to me but in mosts SF house there´s no other option, there´s no much place to have separate rooms.
EliminarHello Cutata!
ResponderEliminarIn my opinion the Kennelworths have done a GREAT job furnishing and decorating their new home. :) I like the red and white colour scheme downstairs a lot. Where did Dorothy get such beautiful red pots with white dots on them?
The nursery is very bright and well organised and I like the little study area by the window with the desk and notice board. (Nice touch to add the beautiful flower picture and photo and notes!)
My FAVOURITE room in the house though is Monty and Dorothy's bedroom and bath - it looks so pretty and extreeeemely cosy!!!! I LOVE the red and blue wallpaper and the beautiful pillows on the bed. It's really amazing.
Compliments to the Kennelworths and everyone who helped them! :D
Nina
Thanks Nina!
EliminarDorothy and Monty read your kind words and they say a big thank you.
The red and white color scheme was inspired by Dorothy´s outfit. The day I saw the red pots I didn´t have a doubt that Dorothy was going to be the first one to have them in her kitchen. I bought them in a small shop that used to sell model trains and dollhouses in my hometown but I visited the shop at Easter and they don´t supply miniatures like this anymore. It seems the business is not very successful.A real pity!I wasn´t sure about the combination of red and blue in the bedroom but I think the final result turned out well.
I think it turned out very well. It's beautiful. :)
EliminarPity the shop in your hometown doesn't sell dollhouse minis anymore.
Give my regards to the Kennelworths, please! :D
C U T A T A!!!! This is amazing! I have two undecorated cedar terrace houses and a beechwood hall, this is so inspirational! I love it!
ResponderEliminarThank you so much Eaton! I´m glad you like it.Your comment means a lot to me because I really admire the work you´ve done decorating your houses and the rooms of the commune. I could spend hours looking at your decorated houses, spotting every single detail.I hope you find the time and motivation to decorate thoses empty houses.I´d love to see them.
ResponderEliminarCongratulations to the Kennelworths!
ResponderEliminarThe house looks amazing, I love the red theme.
Thank you Emma! Red is Dorothy´s favourite color. The Kennelworths are glad you like their new home.
ResponderEliminarI know everyone has already said so, but this house is beautifully decorated. I love all the attention to detail, and the *red*. It's my second favourite colour (after purple) and it fits so well, especially with the blue.
ResponderEliminarHi Steph!
ResponderEliminarThank you very much for your comment!I´m glad you like it. Purple is a lovely colour too. I´ll definitely use purple when I decorate other houses.
