A few days ago, I was sorting out my pieces of fabric when Peace turned up wearing a bikini. It seemed she came straight from the beach where her boyfriend Peter Babblebrook owns a bar.I´m giving you these details just in case you haven´t heard about Peter and Peace before but if you are regular readers of my blog you have already met this young couple in several occasions.
"Did you make Freya´s dress? Peace asked me when she saw the white on red polka dot fabric.
"No,I did´t. I´m not very good at sewing".

"No,I did´t. I´m not very good at sewing".
Shortly after, she left the table and jumped into the big bag where I keep all my remnants of fabric. She seemed to be very comfortable lying on top of them!
She started rummaging through the bag as if she was looking for something in particular.
A few minutes later she caught my attention:
"Cutata! Would you be able to make a dress out of this fabric, please? I thinks it suits me!"
That wasn´t a remnant piece of fabric but a dress of mine that I don´t wear anymore because it doesn´t fit me properly.A real shame because I like it a lot!I usually recycle old clothes but this time I intended to reuse it in order to make something out of it, probably a pencil case.
When I took the dress out of the bag and put in on the table, Peace looked really excited.
She´s not a fashion victim at all. Actually, she is quite the opposite. She is just trying to find something that suits her style. Dresses with aprons and fancy satin outfits are not what she is looking for.She is a bit of a hippie, a kind of a bohemian and a free spirit just like Peter.
Sewing is not my strengh at all but I decided to give it a go and make a new dress for her. Wearing a lampshade is not a great idea.
I got down to work and when the dress was finished I showed it to Peace who seemed to be very happy with the final result.
"Thank you Cutata!" A mini dress out of your dress!
As I´m not good at sewing I had to look for a way to make the dress easy enough to assemble. I used the bottom part of my dress for Peace´s dress too. Those stitches were in the original dress and stopped the fabric from fraying.
For the waist I used one of the straps.
The top part was just a tiny piece of the top part of my dress and I used green ribbon for the straps.
I got carried away and I also made two bags to match her outfit.
She planted a big kiss on my cheek and this time she offered herself to pose again in front of the camera.
All of a sudden Peter interrupted the photo session. He was wondering where Peace was.
"Wow, Peace, you look so cool! I love this dress much more than the lampshade!"
When they were about to leave Peace asked Peter:
"Bye-Bye Cutata and thanks again!"

I put it all together and finally Peace is delighted with her new dress. She doen´t like posing but this time she made an exception. As you can see she also added some complements she made herself.

"Do you like this paper? I have a project in mind but I need your help."
Can you guess what she´s thinking about?
"Bye-Bye Cutata and thanks again!"
"Hope to see you soon guys!"

I love this couple! The funny thing is I only expected Peater and Peace to appear in one of last year challenges "It´s too hot". I needed someone to run the beach bar I made for this challenge.I have two figures of "Rocky Babblebrook" so I changed his name for Peter (Rocky is his twin brother). Then, I thought it could be nice for Peter to have some company that´s why I turned a spare grey rabbit into Peace, a girl he met in one of his trips. He offered her a job for the summer and she accepted.
As far as I remember, it was Fox, a member of the forum, who wanted to know if Peter and Peace were going to be together after the summer. That question inspired me to write the stories I posted last Christmas.Fox,if you ever read this, thank you very much for inspiring me to keep writing about this couple. I´m really happy they are together.
