About me

Hello!!!!
Welcome to my blog!

I am an adult collector of Sylvanian Families from Spain. I started my collection in March 2015 . It is impossible not to fall in love with these adorable little figurines. In my case I just bumped into them by chance while I was searching the web looking for some Playmobil stuff.
At first I just meant to have  a few families and two or three buildings but once you start it is difficult to stop.

What I like about Sylvanian Families is not just their nice clothes, the soft touch of their furry bodies, their little bright eyes, their lovely houses, shops and  fine detailed furniture...but also what they portray : an idyllic world where families love each other, friends and neighbours are always helpful and there is no crime or violence but kindness, respect and honesty. It is a peaceful world far from stress and technology. Life is simple and ejoyable.
In fact, the word Sylvan means "of the forest" and the brand has three values at its heart: Nature, Family and Love.

In this blog I want to share with everybody the World of Sylvanian Families. My families live in a lovely village called "Sweet Berry Valley" and from time to time, I mean to post stories about the  lives of their villagers, pictures I take, things I buy or make for them...

As Sylvanian Families are sold in 50 countries and there are collectors from all over the world I will write in English instead of in Spanish (so please forgive my mistakes)

I hope you like my blog and visit it again.

  2. I also wish our real world was as peaceful and idyllic as Sylvania. The good thing about Sylvanians is that we can recreate the world we would like to live in.

  5. Hi! I love your blog, and I was just telling my friend the exact same thing you said about how all sylvanians love eachother. Don't you just wish you could live in a place where all the parents see even their neighbour's kids as their own and everyone knows everyone? Think how much simpler the world would be that way.

  6. Hi Cutata - I found your blog about a year ago or so, and just love it! I stumbled onto Sylvanians myself not even two years ago, your blog was helpful when I was first wanting to create for them - yours and Mimi's, I'm also sad that her blog seems to be gone? I began my own blog about two months ago. I'm preparing a new post with a DIY for making trees and flower beds with clay - is it okay if I link to your tree DIY post? Here is my blog so you can see. I plan to have my DIY post ready on Monday, if you could let me know before then, that'd be great! And we're both in Europe, and sharing in English. Though, it's my first language, so it's easier for me. :-) I hope you keep blogging. Best wishes, Bunny from www.lilacsandlittles.wordpress.com

    1. Hi Bunny!
I haven´t been blogging for the past four months so I´ve just read your comment.
There´s no problem at all if you still want to link your post about DIY trees and flowers to my tree DIY post.
I´ll definitely have a look at your blog. I´m sorry my reply came so late.
It makes me happy to know my blog was helpful when you started creating for your Sylvanians.
I didn´t know that Mimi´s blog is gone! That´s such a pity. She was so talented! Her minis really inspired me too .
I had the intention to post more regularly this year but real life got in the way and I haven´t been able to keep blogging as often as I meant.
      Thanks for your comment !
      A hug!

  7. Hi Cutata! Great to see that you are still living your passion for Sylvanians. Was browsing your website and found your new stories and pictures about Splashy family. Your photos are wonderful and your stories really heartwarming. I remember 2 of your other figures called Peter & Peace Babblebrook - who made friends with 2 young fold cats (Juice Porter and Apple McClaw) when they visited Sweet Berry Valley. Learning about the baby boom in Sweet Berry Valley, their friends in Purrchester wonder if Peter and Peace have turned into family bunnies, too, or if they would be ready to meet them at 'Carrot Field Hollow's Summer Of Love Festival 2023 (including concerts, camping, jam sessions and yummy snacks) - A description of the event is to follow. In the meantime please give regards to the Babblebrooks on behalf of Apple & Juice.

    Hugs

    1. Hi Florence!
It´s great to hear from you!
Ha ha, the baby boom haven´t reached Peter and Peace, at least just yet.
That summer festival sounds great! I haven´t been active on my blog for the past four months so I´ve just read your comment. I wonder if it´s too late for Peter and Peace to meet their friends Apple and Juice. I´ll send you a PM in the Collector Forum.
      Hugs!
